Brett and
I started off in the world on the 27th of February 1974....... I guess we were pretty tiny
at that point! Very practical being able to share your pram though!! Brett's
the one praying ..... |

Here we were with Grandma, my
Mum's mum, at her house in Takapuna. A bit of a handful that's for sure! Don't
quote me on this, but I have a feeling that Brett's the squirmy one in this picture.
I was somewhat more sedated on food no doubt. |

There's nothing
like a nice splash. But hey, who's trying to take pictures of our tummies??
That's just not on! |
|

The young Chandler family......
Ngaire, Warwick, Brett, and Kathryn..... the complete set. |
|
|
We never really liked
photos..... quick, take the shot while we pause for breath!! |
|
|
Here I am in the cardigan Nana
knitted for me ...... nice and toasty. It was always lots of fun watching Nana using
her spinning wheel, not to mention noshing all her delicious baking. In the weekends
at Nana's we used to go exploring in the bush or visiting the donkey at the end of the
section...... she lived in the Waitakeres so it was always lots of fun. I was
about three in this picture. |

Ahh, now we're getting a bit
older, and crying for photos is off the agenda. Are you starting to recognise me
yet?? I used to love it when we dressed as twins! I don't remember Brett being
quite so thrilled. This is a school picture taken when we were six. |

When we were seven we went on a
holiday to Fiji..... we had an awesome time sipping coconut milk and hunting for frogs....
that adventuring spirit has never died! While we were there we encountered some of
the stubborn local horses on a pony-trek... they were totally preprogrammed and wouldn't
go a few extra steps so we could pick up a coconut off the beach... how rude! |

Japan!! The fascination
with Japan began early..... this was on our first trip to Japan, when we were nine.
We traipsed up the steps inside this giant buddah and admired the great views.
Very impressive. |

All dressed up! I was
intrigued by the gorgeous Kimonos, while Brett loved the little Japanese gardens..... |
|
|
..... and no trip would be the
same without a little monkey-business at Tokyo Disneyland. That Space Mountain
ride was awesome!! (This was when Brett was still shorter than me.....
recent photos now prove otherwise though!) |
Hope you enjoyed this little waltz through my
childhood.......
